Tottenham's 22-year-old 'new engine' Brennan Johnson was excited.

He joined Tottenham from Nottingham Forest on the last day of last summer's transfer window. The transfer fee was £47.5 million (approximately $79 billion).

Johnson made his Tottenham debut on Sept. 16 against Sheffield United in the fifth round of the 2023-2024 English Premier League (EPL) season. Despite a brief hiatus due to a minor hamstring (back thigh muscle) injury, he quickly established himself as the starting right wing-forward.

It was Johnson's first friendly since joining Spurs. Spurs hosted Nottingham Forest in the 17th round of the 2023-2024 EPL at the City Ground in Nottingham, England, on Sept. 16.

Johnson started at right wing-forward. But a harsh fate awaited him.

His time was cut short in the 27th minute of the first half. He was hit in the face while fighting for an aerial ball with a former teammate.

Medical personnel were rushed to the scene, and his forehead was torn and bleeding. Johnson was eventually replaced by Oliver Skip five minutes later with suspected concussion symptoms. 카지노

The Nottingham fans applauded Johnson as he was substituted, wishing him a speedy recovery. Social media also responded with comments such as 'I hope Johnson is okay', 'He'll be devastated this isn't the comeback he wanted', and 'This is true sportsmanship. Thank you to the fans for showing kindness to an injured player," and more.

Johnson, a Welsh international, has one goal and two assists in eight games for Spurs. Spurs were reduced to 10 men after Yves Bissouma's sending off, but goals from Heurelisbon and Dejan Kulicepski helped them to a 2-0 win over Nottingham.

Manager Enze Postecoglou said of Johnson's injury: "He will be fine. It's a bad cut and will need stitches. There are no signs of concussion, just a cut on the head."

Tottenham broke a five-match winless streak (1-4) with a 4-0 thrashing of Newcastle United on Nov. 11. With their second straight win at Nottingham, Spurs have 33 points (W10 D3 L4), level on points with Man City (W10 D3 L3), who have played one game less. However, they remain fifth on goal difference.
